Lyrical steel curves, splashes of bright color, and provocative questions about barriers to understanding came together in Cecelia Moseley: Remnants of Language. Moseley, a Meridian native, transformed the MAX’s galleries into an immersive, deeply personal experience. Oversized metal sculptures, prints, and a vivid acrylic installation invited visitors to consider what remains—and what is lost—when digital communication replaces handwriting. The artist posed powerful questions: As we move forward, what traces remain? How are we adapting? What parts of us are changing?

Symmetry’s title design reflected Moseley’s use of vibrant colors while referencing themes of disappearing or obscure communication systems. Exhibition graphics expanded on that branding, guiding visitors from the lobby into the gallery, sharing information about the artist and her work within the exhibition, and inviting visitors to add their mark to the exhibition in an interactive area.
